Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Khheak Phallin is 15-years-old, grade 9 at The Kimino Yume Mezaseba Kanau School in Romduol village,Varin commune, Varin District, Siem Reap province.

Phallin has four siblings, three sisters and one brother, and she is the eldest child in family. Her parents are farmers and they own about two hectares of farmland. They grow rice and other vegetables; they can earn about $40 per month from their farming. Phallin responds to do housework and to take care her younger siblings because her parents are busy in the field whole day. Additionally, Phallin has to work in field with her parents during harvest seasons. In the free time, she likes to do homework.

In the future, she wants to work in Bank.
