Laiy Nisiy is 14 years old and she is in grade 7 at the Pluk secondary School in Pluk village, Pluk commune, Sesan district, Stung Treng Province.
There are seven members in her family, her mother, three sisters and three brothers. She is the first child in her family. She is orphaned and still fatherless. Her family is so poor and they owned half a hectare of farmland for their neighbor, which can produce 1,395kg of rice per year. After they collect the rice, they pay rice 200kg per year to the landowner. After finish from rice season, her mother she goes to hired laborer can receive wage 20,000 riel in a day for one person, but they can’t do every day. They are growing a few kinds of vegetables for the family eating. For rice production per year cannot cover their expenses every day. They would like to express gratitude to the organization and sponsors of its scholarship for its daughter, even though it is not sufficiently supportive of the family’s needs, but also reduces her family’s expenses.
Nisiy she wants to be a teacher in the future, because she things teacher have been able to support a lot of social work, especially human resources training and she finds that her village does not have a lot of knowledge.
