Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

To Be Selected

Oeurn Siphat is 15 year-old-student in the 8th grade at The Kozak Ohana School #285 in the Mohor Village, Chey Commune, Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia. Siphat has two brothers and two sisters and is the fourth child in the family. Both of her parents are rice farmers, but their crops have not been healthy the past couple of years due to natural calamity and drought. As a result, her mother works in the village to earn money to feed her children, and the eldest daughter works as well to help support the family. Therefore, Siphat is bearing the responsibility of the housework and cooking as her mother and sister are at work.
