Pang Sreyleak is a thirteen-year-old student in the seventh grade at Somdach Chuon Nat high school which is located in Tro Kuon Village, Krola Commune, Kampong Siem District, and Kampong Cham Province.
There are seven members in her family. Sreyleak has five brothers, and she is fifth child in the family. Sreyleak’s father passed away, so now her mother is the sole caregiver for her six children. Her mother sells fish in the market, earning $5 a day, which is not enough to support the family’s needs. As a result, Sreyleak’s older siblings work as seasonal workers, and Sreyleak is responsible to help her mother with housework and selling fish at the market.
In the future, Sreyleak wants to be a teacher because she likes teaching and she wants to share her knowledge to her village.
