Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Phan Sreipech

Sreipech is 12 years old and she is in grade 6 at the Wahrenbrock Family School #235 in Takeo province, Ko Antet district, Pech Sar commune, Chong Angkar village.

There are four members of the family. She has got one brother and one sister includable her. She is the oldest child in the family. Her father is a farmer. He has 25A field farmland which has produced average is 400 kg of rice a year. However, this is only the ideal output because he needs to barter for fertilizer and other expenditures during the farming process. Her parents have not enough money to support food and school supplies for Sreipech during she is studying at state school. Therefore, Sreipech needs to help her mother housework after school and day off. Sreipech wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She loves the position very much. Moreover, she should like to assist patients in rural villages.

In her idea, she thinks that rural villagers have not enough money to private hospitals. And she glorifies the domain of health and would like the rural people to believe in the state hospital that all the doctors really try their best to take care of the patients. Sreipech wants to earn money to support her family in the future when she is going to succeed in her aspiration.
