Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Tran is 14 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District and Siem Reap Province.

Tran is the first child in the family, with two younger sisters. Her family stayed with her grandmother because her family no land and money to build the house. Her parents are farmer but no farmland for transplanting rice. So her parents has to seek another job to work as a worker at the file and their benefited for $1 – $3 per day it is depend on the work in order but someday only that is not regular income. Tran is a very hard student. After studying hard at school, she goes home to help her parents with house work because she knows her parents work too hard to earn a little money for support her family and for her study. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school and help mother to cook food and take care of her siblings.

 Tran wants to be a Teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the kids in her village. Also she wants to earn money to support her family be better in the future.
