Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Da is 15 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District and Siem Reap Province.

Da is the first child in the family, with one younger sister. Her parents are farmer but they have no farmland for transplanting rice. Every year her family needs to buy rice for eating and a year need 6 sacks of rice production of quantity of one sack of rice is 80kilogram. Her family has no farmland so her parents needs to find a job that far from home and let her and her younger sister stay at home without parents because of her and her sister doesn’t want to stop from their study. Her parents sometime asked her to stop and help to earn money but she loves to study and come to school without money every day. Her parents work as a builder so far from home and get $3 per day to support the family. Da is smart and good student and she always gets good score and rank. She tries very hard for her study. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school and cook meal for her sister and her.

 Da wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the poor kids like to come up in the future and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
