Sam Ly is 16 years old, and is in grade 9 at Donduong Secondary School, and she lives in Balang village, Balang Commune, Baray District and Kampong Thom Province.
Sam Ly has two siblings 1 brother and 1 sister. She is a youngest child in the family. Sam Ly’s home is very small, when I saw and I was very pities her. The family owning one hectare of farmland, they used to grow rice and potatoes every year, her parents can produce 14 sacks of rice for this year, because in this location the atrophy of rice this year. However her parents try to find money to support her daughter , because she wants to studies every time, so Ly’s parents sometime they work as construction worker and sometime pull out of potatoes and sometime picker corns in their location for money. They get around 20000riels a day from their work, but it is not every day. Sam Ly wants to studies part-time the same other students, but her parents didn’t have money. Ly’s family is very poor. She gets 1000riels a day for her studies. She always rides her bike to school every day. Sam Ly is a good daughter and good students after school she always helps with housework everyday and looks after animals.
In the future Ly wants to be a teacher because she wants to share knowledge and education to the students in her community as well as to help other people and she wants to support her family.
