Sophout is a 14-year-old and she is a student in Grade 7 at the Romdos Sre’s School in Romdos Sre commune, Choam Ksan district, Preah Vihear province.
Sophout has one brother and she is the eldest child in her family. Her father’s name is Phorl and her mother’s name is Rom. Sophout and her brother live with their father because their mother lives in Thailand, running an illegitimate business. The family has owns farmland in which they can growing rice and they are also produce 600kg of rice per year but they are not selling because they keep for daily eating in a whole year, Even they get profile from rice but it still not enough to feed the family for long. To help financially support the family, Sophout’s father goes to works as a construction worker, gets $7 in a day. As Sophout is the eldest child in the family she is responsible for helping her father with various house chores and helping in the rice field.
In the future, she wants to be a News Reporter because she wants the Cambodian peoples to know her and she can get a good salary to support her self and her family in the future to live in a good condition.
