Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

To Be Selected

Da is 14 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District and Siem Reap Province.

Da is the first child in the family, with one younger brother. Her parents are farmer but no farmland for transplanting rice. Her mother always sick can’t do the heavy work so her father has to go to work at the city as a builder and he got $3 per day to support the family but sometime only. Sometime her parents asked for help to earn money but she loves to study so she comes to study without money every day. Da is a good student. After school, she goes home to help her parents with house work. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school and help mother to cook meal for her family and look after her brother.

Da wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the poor kids like her to come up in the future and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
