Min Sabin is the school director. He is 52 years old.
He has been a school teacher since September 25, 1990.
“I like my job because I like to help people.”
on the difficulties of being school director: | “There are many difficulties running this school. There is a lack of money for the children. They are very poor with no books or school supplies. Although they are poor, with no money to buy books or pens, they still come to study, and they pay attention in class. Also, the teachers cannot live with low salaries.” (Cambodian teachers are usually paid monthly salaries of $15-$20) |
on the participation of the village: | “Our village will supply 10% of the effort to help build the school. We will also protect the school after it is built.” |
message to the Daniele Agostino Foundation: |
“I have one special word for our donor: ‘Thanks!’ I want to thank you so much for helping poor people in rural areas of Cambodia.” |
