The JCVA School

(November, 2001)

Mr. Van Nak is a teacher at the JCVA School.  He has been a teacher for two years.

In Their Own Words. . .

On becoming a teacher: “I became a teacher because I wanted to do so during high school.  After graduating, I took an examination, passed, and spent three years in a supplemental teacher training course.  In 1999, I returned here, to my home village, to be a teacher.”

On the new building:  “I like this building very much because previously the village didn’t have a school building like this.  I am very happy that this village has received a new building like this.  I am particularly happy about the computer that was donated and the teachers that came here to instruct the children in English and computers.  I think that this means that more villagers will get education from now on.”
