On his studies:
“At school, I am good at mathematics, but I prefer studying Khmer to mathematics. Social studies and applied science are the most difficult subjects for me to learn. When the teacher explains I do not understand at all. It is hard to keep up.”
On the new building:
“I like to study at this beautiful building. In the old building there was no concrete floor and a bad smell would come out of the mud.”
On the future:
“When I grow up, I want to be a nurse or a doctor. Then if any member of my family gets ill, I can easily treat them. I have observed that many people are sick in my village because they often do not know what the right diet is. As a doctor, I can tell or educate them about nutrition as well as about hygiene and sanitation.” |
