On Herself: | I am sixteen years old. I have one brother and one sister. Both of them go to this school, in first grade. My parents are rice farmers. Our house is only 100 meters from here.
On the new school: | I am very happy to have a new school. It is nice. I like to study in it very much. At the old school we had no tables. We would sit on the ground. When it rained, water would flow into the class and make us all wet. Some of us had classes in a pagoda, and some under a tree.
What is best about school: | I like studying. Especially math. It teaches you how to calculate, which is useful when buying or selling. I also like school because of the good environment here. When I play at school, I jump string.
In her spare time: |
I help my parents after school. I cut the grass around our house, and help them plant pumpkins, string bean, and corn.
On her future: | After school I would like to take care of pigs. There aren’t many other jobs available.
If she could do anything: | Then I would become a business woman. But I don’t think I have what it takes. So, actually, I’d most like to be a teacher. |
