In Their Own Words. . .
On the new building: | “It has dignity.”
On school subjects: | “My favorite lessons are Khmer and mathematics because these are more important than other lessons. Mathematics can help me understand about figures—I know how to do multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. Khmer language is also allowing me to master reading, writing and dictation.”
On his hobbies: | “I like to do homework and help my mother. When I meet with my friends we read the Khmer story book given to us by our teacher.”
On his family: | “My mother wants me to graduate high school because she wants me to gain higher knowledge.”
On his future: | “When I grow up I want to work in a factory. I want to work at the football factory where my great uncle and aunt are employed, in Phnom Penh.”
Message for the donor: | “I feel very happy that the friends of Judith Wolf provided this new school building for me to learn. I thank these donors very much.” |
