The Khi Lek Nippon

Foundation School

Ms. Keo So khan is a teacher at the Khi Lek Nippon Foundation School.

On herself:

I am twenty years old. All of my three siblings are teachers, as is my father. They teach at Mongkul Borei. I became a teacher in 2001. Before that I attended teaching school, for two years. I was sent here by The Ministry of Education. I became a teacher to teach the next generation about Khmer literature. I teach the sixth grade.

On the new building: I am very glad that we have this new school. I’ve taught here for a year. It is much easier to teach here than at the old school. I taught there for a year as well. There we had a problem with the rain. Whenever it rained I had to cancel classes, because of rain coming through the roof as well as its noise.
