on his family: | “I have one daughter who is 13 years old and studying in the fifth grade in the new school building. I want my daughter to be a teacher when she grows up because she would like to be a teacher.”

on his work: | “I am a farmer. Besides working in the rice fields I also have another job. Some days, I break rocks from the mountain into small pieces to sell to a construction company. I can get 80 Baht a week doing this.” [In some areas in Cambodia along the Thai border, the Thai Baht is commonly used as currency along with the Cambodian Riel. At the time of the interview, 80 Baht was worth about US$1.75]
