Reth Sarem is 13 years old. He is in the fifth grade a the The Kuniko-Uchida School, and is ranked 9th in his class.
on his parent: | “My father is Reth. He is 61 years old. He is a farmer, and he makes beds. My mother, Hy, is 50 years old. She is a farmer and she sells bananas in the market.”

on his siblings | “I have two bothers and two sisters. My oldest brother and sister help my parents work. My other older brother and younger sister are students, also.”

on the new school: | “I am happy with the new school building because it is a very beautiful building of good quality.”

on his schools subjects: | “I like mathematics because I want to learn this skill for the future. I do not like Khmer because I find it difficult to read.”

when he is not studying: | “In my free time, I take water from the river and put it into a water tank. When I meet my friends, I like to tell funny stories.”

on his future: | “When I grow up I want to be a doctor because I can earn a lot of money.” |
