On himself:
I am thirty-six years old. I have been a teacher since 1999. I became a deputy director this year.
On the new building:
I am very excited to have a new school building. Before this school was built, we had had no school and taught students under a tree. Thus whenever it rained, we had to stop the class.
On enrolment:
I am worried that the number of students has decreased. We used to have as many as 321 students before. Many people moved in this area in order to work and trade in Thailand. However, when the border closed after the anti-Thai riots in Phnom Penh early this year, many people lost their business opportunities and went back to their homeland. There are also some people who fled in fear of a possible war with Thailand.

On the kitchen:
The villagers built the kitchen together. It’s used to feed the children. DONBOSCO [a Thai NGO] provided us with the tin and cooking utensils. They also provide us with food such as rice, fish, pork, vegetables, and spices.
