Friendship School

Rath Daro is a fourteen-year old fourth grade student.

Rath Daro is a fourteen-year old fourth grade student. He has four brothers and three sisters. His father is a farmer, but his mother recently passed away from illness. He is the youngest child in the family, and is the only one in his family studying. Every day, he walks for ten minutes to get to school. In his class, he was ranked fourth out of thirty-nine.

On the New Building: “I like the new school very much. There are more students, so now I have more friends.”“In the old building, classes were always interrupted by the weather. In the rainy season, rain would leak from the roof. In the dry season, the dust would blow through the walls, and make everything dirty.”

Favorite Subject: “I like math most, because it’s easy for me.”

On His Future Plans: “I would like to be a doctor or a nurse and help treat the sick and poor.

If He Could Do Anything: “I would want to be a donor, and build schools”

Message to the Donor: Thank you for the gifts you gave me during the opening ceremony!”
