After the interview near the new school

Prom Rom, a 46-year-old farmer and mother of seven children, lives near Siem Bok Nippon Foundation School. Originally a resident of Preah Vihear province, Mrs. Prom moved to this village for marriage 20 years ago. She likes the village because of its rich natural resources and because it has a better living condition than her hometown. As a parent of four students at the Siem Bok Nippon Foundation School, she came to the interview today to express her gratitude toward the donor.

On the new building:

We are all happy with this building. Because the whole village participated in the construction and helped fence the school, plant trees and pave passage ways, the villagers are proud that the school has been attracting so much attention. So far I have never heard of any criticism from the villagers against the construction of the school. I even heard that the number of the students more than doubled since the school has been rebuilt. As a parent of four school children, I personally am also very happy that now my children can really concentrate on studying, regardless of the weather. Before this building came, students had studied in an old pagoda where rain would leak and interrupt classes. I hope that at this new beautiful building my children will gain enough knowledge to be qualified for good jobs.
