He is 53 years old

On himself:

I have been a teacher since 1980. I am married and have five sons. My wife takes care of the house and cooks dinner. My youngest son just finished secondary school in Kampong Thom.

On the new building:

I am very grateful for the new school. People here are very poor and could never afford to build such a nice building themselves. I hope that next years more children will come to school. At the old school, there wasn’t enough room for all the students to study. At the beginning of the year, we had almost 100 students, but as the time went, many stopped coming. When we tore down the old building in order to build the new school, classes were held under houses. There are really two teachers at this school, but the other teacher left for a teacher-training course in Kampong Thom. I’m stepping in for him in the mean time, while still teaching my old class. So I had to combine them in order to make the most out of the situation.
