The Cambodia Rural School Project
The Ta En Nippon
Foundation School
Mrs. Kim Cheng is the commune chief where the Ta En Nippon Foundation School is located.
On herself: | I am forty-nine years old. I have five children. One of my sons is a fourth grade student at this school. My main responsibility as commune chief is to work with water resources. I also help run a credit union for the farmers of this village.
I have been commune chief for two years.

On the new building:

I am very happy with the new school. This village has never had a building like this. I am happy that the students have a new school to study in. Before this school was built, the students had a lot of problems studying. Rain and wind could both disrupt the classes. The wind would cause the tiles to fall down, and once a student was hit so badly that he started bleeding. |
