The Taing Krasao Nippon

Foundation School

Mr. Bin Sok Sath is a teacher at the Taing Krasao Nippon Foundation School.
He says he’s twenty years old.

On himself:

This is my first year as a teacher. I teach grade four in the morning and grade three in the afternoon. I’m not deputy director, but I always step in whenever the director has to leave.

On the new building:

I was always worried about the old school. I was worried that the next storm would collapse the whole building. I was always worried it might collapse while a class was going on. It’s much easier to teach at the new school. Usually, when a teacher isn’t teaching, the class gets very noisy. Then it’s difficult for me to teach and for the students to understand me. With the new building, that’s no longer a problem. I am very happy that we got assistance from abroad to build this school. All the students like to study here. They didn’t use to like the old school. Now that the new school’s been built, more children are coming to school, and I can teach them better and expand their capabilities.
