Sen Srey Mao is a 13-year-old, fourth grade student at the Talo Nippon Foundation School.
She is ranked second among her class of 38 students.
| On herself:

I have two siblings. My father is a soldier, and my mother is a farmer. My father lives at the military base. I only see him once a month. Our house is right by the school (our fences touch).

| On the new building:

I am very happy to have a new school. I was always worried that the old school would collapse because it was so worn out. That made studying there a little difficult. The old building was always leaning toward one side.

| Favorite subject:

My favorite subject is Khmer. I like reading a traditional Khmer folktale of a king and a dragon, who fall in love with each other and get married in the end.

| On her spare time:

In my spare time I do the dishes at home. I also go to sell sweets at school.
|
| If she could have one wish:

I would like to have a big house.
|
| In the future:

I want to be a teacher and educate the villagers. I want them to obtain more knowledge.
