On himself:

I have three children. The youngest two are studying at this school. My eldest son is a teacher at this school. My wife is the village chief. Our house is just down the road from the school. I first became a teacher in 1996. I’ve been a director for the past three years. Now I teach the first and fourth grade.

On the new building:

I am very happy with the new school. I want to take good care of it. At the old school there were many problems. When it rained, the rain would splash into the classroom and the students would have to cram together to avoid getting wet. It is not nice being wet when some of the students live as far as four kilometers away from the school.
The villagers around here got a new urge to contribute to the school once this new building was built. More people are also sending their children to school, especially those who live far away. Some people have also moved closer to the school to be able to send their children here. Most people moved to this area after the war had finished. They used to live on the top of the mountains, but the land down here is better. |
