Rin Phearon is a 12-year-old fifth grade student at the Thnout Nippon Foundation School. Last year he was ranked fifth among the 45 students in his class. His parents are farmers and two of his five siblings are at the school.
In Their Own Words. . .
On the new building: | “I like the new building because it is right next door to my home. The old building looked bad and was leaning to one side. It didn’t have any walls, either. It’s easy to study now because I don’t have to worry about wind or rain or anything else.”
|
On his free time: | “My chores are to fill the water jars and chop the firewood. I play with my friends and study.”
|
On his future: | “I plan to graduate from primary school and maybe secondary school and high school. If I have more knowledge in my brain then I can find a good job in the future. My parents want me to go to high school, too. When I grow up, I want to be a kind man and a teacher.” |
